Verse of the Week: 1 Corinthians 1:18  For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (NIV)

Quote of the Week: All God’s plans have the mark of the cross on them, and all His plans have death to self in them. –E. M Bounds

Song of the Week: Lead Me to the Cross – Hillsong

Hymn of the Week: The Old Rugged Cross – Guy Penrod

Life Sharpening Tip of the Week: If we want to serve Jesus, we have to begin at the cross.

This Week’s Challenge: The theme of this Word Sharpener Week is the cross. I was in a discussion this week with a woman that felt all religions were the same and all prayers reach God. That’s not true. The cross is what make the difference. Without the cross, we could not have a relationship with God. When we tell others about Christianity, we need to start with the cross.
