Don’t you love the snow? I do, at least in November and December. By January, I’m starting to get tired of it, but it’s still okay. Now it’s almost the end of February, and we keep getting more snow and more sub-zero temperatures thrust on us, so at this moment, I’m ready for Spring. Here are 10 things you can do while you’re waiting for the snow to melt.
1. Make snow angels. I know it is cold, but if you can find someone to make snow angels with, preferably a child, it can be a lot of fun. Just make sure you bundle up. It’s cold out there.
2. Make a cup of hot chocolate (cocoa). Not only does it warm you up, the chocolate keeps you from getting depressed about the snow.
3. Read a good book. Pelican Book Group has all their e-books for free on this site. Check them out.
4. Knit or crochet something. There’s nothing better to keep you warm and productive then knitting an afghan and draping it over your lap as it gets bigger.
5. Bake something chocolate. The oven will keep you warm, and the chocolate… well, see number two.
6. Clean out your closet. Not fun, I know, But it’s better than going outside. Right?
7. Make home-cooked meals. How wants to go out to eat in this cold? Watch a cooking show first to inspire you.
8. Play a board game or cards. Admit it. When we used to play board games and cards, they were a lot of fun.
9. Watch an old movie. Here’s a list of classic romantic movies. Here’s a list of Alfred Hitchcock movies. The cool thing is you can rent them on Amazon or Redbox online, so you don’t have to go out into the cold to get a movie to watch.
10. Cuddle up with your spouse. If you really want to get warm. Wear something skimpy or nothing at all. Trust me. You’ll warm up fast.
Whatever you decide to do, stay warm!
