Goals for the Year
Today’s challenge is a sort of to do list for the year. Don’t get too involved in writing down every single thing you need to do. We’ll work on that later. Today you are making a list of things you want to accomplish.
Step One: Get out your bucket list. Of the three things circled, is there anything you could do this year? Are there any steps you could take toward accomplishing any of the circled items? Write them down.
Step Two: What do you need to get done this year? Is your attic overflowing with junk? Does your kitchen need organized? Do you need to organize your desk at work? Do you need to plan your daughter’s wedding or your son’s graduation? Write them down. These are not things you want to do. These are things that need done.
Step Three: Write down the things you want to accomplish this year. For this list, don’t write down things you can’t control. Write down measurable goals. For instance, if you want to become a published author, you could have write finish and edit a novel, find agents you would like to have, and submit your manuscript to three of those agents.
That’s it for now. There will be more steps tomorrow.
