When Anna Marie’s twin sister, Adeline, disappears, Anna will do anything to find her. Everyone believes Adeline is dead, but Anna knows better. Anna Marie has a particular form of synesthesia in which she “hears” various people as sounds or songs, and she can still hear her sister’s song. When her search plunges Anna back to Civil War Missouri, she has so much more at stake that finding her sister. Will she survive as a wartime refugee?
