I never remember such a great number of presidential candidates. The list is overwhelming. I thought you might be interested in how I rate them from best to worst. Before I get started, you might want to know my political philosophy. I am a conservative libertarian and a constitutionalist. I am registered as a Republican but am not completely happy with the Republican party right now. I think that could change is they nominate the right candidate.
This list has candidate that are CURRENTLY listed on the GOP and on www.Presidentialelection.com. The Democratic website list GOP candidates but not the DEM candidates. There are other parties, but because we are a two party system which means a candidate from one of those two parties will win, I’m limiting my list to them. Yes, there really is that many. I’ll make some comments on a few of them but will try to keep it respectful.
Ben Carson (R): This man is intelligent, a Real Christian, and would bring back the concept of statesmen presidents who only hold office for the good of the country. Also he has a subtle sense of humor and communicates in a way that unites people because he explains why he holds certain philosophies. He is a good man and would make a good president.- Marco Rubio (R): Marco is a career politician which is probably the only reason he is not my number 1 choice. He impressed me at the debates and has most of the same political views I have.
- John Kasich (R): I’ve seen the progress he’s made since becoming governor of Ohio.

- Bobby Jindal (R)
- Mike Huckabee (R): I like him, but I don’t believe he’s a serious candidate. He’s in the race to bring up issues.
- Rick Santorum (R)

- Lindsey Graham (R)
- Rand Paul (R): Some of his national security views scare me.
- Ted Cruz (R): My biggest problem with Ted Cruz is he wasn’t born in the US. He was born in Canada. A strict interpretation of the Constitution would make him ineligible. I mean really, people who bring up the legitimacy of President Obama’s birth can’t have it both ways.
- Jim Webb (D): That’s right. I’d vote for a democrat before I would vote for Trump, Bush, Christi, Pataki, or Gilmore. At least Webb was a war hero.
- Donald Trump (R): This democrat who is pretending to be a republican is entertaining, but he’s a blowhard and wouldn’t make a good president.
- Jed Bush (R)
- Chris Christie (R): Might as well vote democratic.
- George Pataki (R): ditto
- Jim Gilmore (R)
- Martin O’Malley (D): You can’t trust someone who was born and raised in Washington D.C. and is a democrat. Also he’s against tax cuts, businesses, and banks, and is for higher minimum wages, tax increases, more entitlement spending, and income equality lies.
- Bernie Sanders (D): Has the Democratic party gone so far left that a declared socialist can seriously run as a democrat?
- Hillary Clinton (D): Aside from her dismal political views, I believe she should work out her legal problems before running for office.
So that’s my list. Who is your top choice?
