Seldom does a Christian novel have the courage to take on a topic like abuse and still be full of suspense and entertainment without coming across as preachy. The Redemption of Caralynne Hayman is one of those novels. This gritty suspense novel with romance thrown in is not for the weak at heart. It will cause you to lie awake at night worrying about what is going to happen next. And when you turn the last page, it delivers a satisfying ending. This novel talks about dark subjects like child abuse, spouse abuse, and spiritual abuse in a way that gives hope and redemption. I love this novel and look forward to reading more by Carole Brown. I highly recommend it.
