Word Sharpener Weekly – April 6th, 2015

IMG_9927-3Word Sharpener News: I’m giving away a free autographed paperback copy of Soldier’s Heart on Sowing Seeds of Hope. Check out the interview and leave a comment to be entered in the drawing.

My western novel is at the publishing committee of a well known publisher which is exciting. On a sad note, my cousin, David Warden, and a close friend, Farley Stewart passed away last week. I’d appreciate your prayers for their families.

Holidays This Week: Yesterday was Resurrection Day. Christ is Risen. He is Risen Indeed! Passover started on Saturday and continues until this Friday, April 10th. Today is National Sorry Charlie Day based on the old tuna commercial “Sorry Charlie” where we think about times we were rejected. That sounds like a depressing holiday.

Other Holidays:

  • April 7 – National Day of Action for SAAM (Sexual Assault Awareness Month)
  • April 7 – No Housework Day (This is a holiday I can get behind.)
  • April 8 – National Zoo Lovers Day
  • April 10 – National Encourage a Writer Day
  • April 10 – National Siblings Day
  • April 11 – Barbershop Quartet Day
