Word Sharpener Weekly – June 1, 2015

Maranatha!

Word Sharpener News: Wednesday, June 3, is my birthday. I won’t tell you how old I am, but I am looking forward to it. We had a great kid’s crusade in Kirtland, Ohio. Children were saved.

I am currently rereading the Left Behind Series by Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. My husband and I are also teaching a small group about end times, so this post will focus on the rapture. I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture based on Scripture, and I believe it will be soon. I’m posting a couple of videos at the end: one explaining the pre-trib rapture and the other for those who are left behind. My intent is not to be preachy, but I want to make sure everyone is ready. Jesus is coming soon. Maratha means come quickly Lord Jesus.

Holidays This Week:

  • June 1 – National Go Barefoot Day
  • June 2 – Full Moon
  • June 3 – Tamera Lynn Kraft’s Birthday
  • June 4 – National Cheese Day
  • June 6 – National Trails Day
  • June 7 – National Chocolate Ice Cream Day (Yum!)

Quote of the Week: Jesus is soon to return to take all of His followers to Heaven with Him.   ~ Anne Graham Lotz

Verse of the Week: According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.  1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
