FrasierWord Sharpener News:  I am so excited to announce that I am one of five finalist for the Frasier Award. Click on the picture to see who the other finalists are. The winner will be announced at the ACFW Banquet in Dallas, TX in September.

I entered my unpublished novel, Lost in the Storm. Here is a blurb about the novel.

In the midst of the Civil War, hero Captain Cage has a secret. To keep his secret, he drives every reporter who tries to interview him out of camp.

News reporter Lavena promises her boss she’ll get an interview with Captain Cage if the newspaper will give her a chance as a war correspondent. Her boss warns if she doesn’t get the interview, she’ll lose her job.

As war rages around them, Lavena struggles to get the story of a lifetime as she fights her attraction to the reluctant hero. Cage struggles to keep his secret knowing it will destroy any chance he has for a relationship with the feisty reporter with whom he’s fallen in love.
